National DNACPR project

This project has been expanded and, through the national palliative care trainee collaborative, has been rolled out on a national scale. Data is currently being collected with analysis due to take place in the coming months.

How is the term ‘harm’ being interpreted and documented on DNACPR forms following the Tracey judgement?

Design:

A retrospective case note review

Aim:

To investigate how discussions surrounding DNACPR decisions have changed following the Tracey judgement and how ‘harm’ is being defined by clinicians working within specialist palliative care in a hospice setting and a generalist hospital setting.
